Google is this a target SCAM on Gmail ?

Rec’d this in my email today – it came in as a calendar event Invitation – it would appear to be a SCAM but with Google closing services it makes me wonder ? Clearly my gmail account is not anon !

Virtual world cracks down on cowboy banks
