Brandtology Assists Governments to Listen and Engage Net-Generation Citizens

Brandtology Assists Governments to Listen and Engage Net-Generation Citizens
Listening to new media is the first step to online engagement

Singapore, June 16 2009 Brandtology, a leader in providing business and brand online intelligence services, today announced that it will be showcasing its solutions to help governments listen and engage online at iGov2009 at CommunicAsia from 16 to 18 June 2009 at the Singapore Expo Hall 3 booth number 3C3-08.

Themed ‘Integrating Public Services, Engaging Citizens’, the iGov Global Exchange draws 60,000 international participants from governments, the industry and media from about 100 countries and regions across Europe, America, Asia Pacific and the Middle East.

“Online media offers governments the potential to have a cost-effective yet scalable dialogue with citizens,” said Eddie Chau, CEO and founder of Brandtology. “The first step in the engagement process is to listen to online conversations to assess sentiments.”

“For example, posts about the H1N1 influenza virus are being widely discussed in various online media channels around the world, reflecting citizens’ concerns about government actions to combat the spread of the virus.”

“Brandtology’s proprietary and multi-lingual technology helps governments tap into online opinion and make informed policy decisions,” said John Kerr, Regional Director, Edelman Digital Asia-Pacific.

Edelman, together with Brandtology, announced a strategic partnership in May 2009 to offer a range of digital services based on deep online analytics to help Asian governments, marketers and corporate communicators successfully navigate the opportunities and risks to be considered when engaging influencers and communities online.

BRANDTOLOGY propels into expansion from S$2million investment

WALDEN INTERNATIONAL INVESTS S$ 2MILLION IN BRANDTOLOGY
New investment to fuel Brandtology’s global expansion into North Asia

Singapore, April 27 2009 – Brandtology, a leader in providing business and brand online intelligence services, today announced that Walden International has invested S$ 2million in the company. The additional investment will propel Brandtology’s global expansion in North Asia which will be the next growth area for the company.

Brandtology provides business and brand online intelligence services with proprietary technologies and proven process, combined with trained and experienced analysts, to help companies listen to the social media and make strategic decisions for their brands in a timely manner.

“Since Brandtology was established in 2008, we have experienced rapid growth from clients in the public, finance and banking sectors, and from Forbes Global 2000 and Fortune 500 companies. Our next focus growth area is in North Asia as we see increased demand from clients requesting that we compliment their digital marketing strategy to listen to the social media scene of what is being said of their brands in the local language,” said Mr Eddie Chau, Founder and CEO of Brandtology.

“For example, China alone has about 298 million Internet users of which 91 million users actively participate in forums and 105 million users update their blogs regularly, as reported by China Internet Network Information Center. Companies can either tap on these resources to strengthen their brands with their digital marketing strategy or face the consequences of ignoring a tsunami of negative posts on their brands in this social media space.

“This new investment will enable us to expand and strengthen our R&D and infrastructure to support the innovations and features demanded by our rapidly growing clientele from the list of Forbes Global 2000, Fortune 500 companies and public sectors.”

Mr Loo Hock Voon, Managing Director of Walden International, commented, “Our research has shown that more companies are considering or going to invest in online social media as part of their marketing strategy to reach out to consumers. Brandtology’s innovations and track record in getting clients from the Forbes Global 2000 and Fortune 500 companies list has deeply impressed us as one of those early stage companies with high potential growth that cannot be ignored.”

“Brandtology and its unique services empower clients to effectively analyse and manage their brands in the online space, and gain valuable insights to build and sustain strong, differentiated market positions,” said Mr Martin Roll, Business & Brand Strategist, special advisor to Brandtology.

Brandtology was established by a group of seasoned and young entrepreneurs with Singapore as its international headquarter. In April 2009, Brandtology signed up another five new Forbes Global 2000 and Fortune 500 clients to engage Brandtology’s services. Brandtology has also expanded globally with offices in Australia, Malaysia and the People’s Republic of China – Shanghai and Hangzhou. Brandtology’s Digital Conversation Management System handles many different languages globally.
