Ping.sg Banning continues – itsReal

The BANNING on Ping.sg continues – another long time supporter of Ping.sg gets Banned – I am unsure as to the sense or reason for the Ban but it is becoming a Singapore catastrophe –  the Singapore blogging community whilst  growing , is TINY – alienating bloggers who have supported Ping.sg by contributing online and at physical events is truly astonishing. These supporters have used Word of Mouth to help spread Ping.sg through their own networks whether business of social, it was done freely in the past to grow the Ping.sg community.  Are these same supporters who helped grow Ping.sg not needed any longer, their unselfish raves to people they met about this cool community called Ping.sg a virtual waste of effort…the opportunity to take Ping.sg out of the RED might have been just around the corner. This latest Banning is a mystery….the practice must cease….APLINK

Innovation – Passion – is Singapore Alone – itsReal

CoSpace Yebber Geek Terminal ping.sg twinity recruit.net social media breakfast TheMediaSlut HypoCol Wellness Community  TDM

It is hard to believe that I packed in SO much into the 168 hours I had available last week. Forget about sleep – well almost. There is a buzz in Singapore and the 9 identified keywords – tags above are just a fraction of things that were revolving around APLINK  last week. Is this only happening in Singapore – I doubt it very much.

What is not able to be said here is even more astounding as to the level of opportunities and possibilities that are emerging daily – Singapore being the HUB for all this activity.

As a run down of last week, CoSpace was launched – wow, yebber turned ONE and held a unique and BINGOMATIC event at the Mint Toy Museum – thanks for the WebCam from the lucky draw, Geek Terminal becomes even more of a hub for entrepreneurs, ping.sg climbs the Alexa Rankings, twinity new T-shirt design launches and gets a public audience – watch out for MEETME when walking around Singapore – recruit.net books into facebook – the Media Slut – well she just keeps getting more evil, My client Hypocol doubles international online sales through Social Media Programs and takes its first bite of virtual worlds – TDM kicks off events planning – and finally the Social Media Breakfast – we crawled out of bed to reach the venue at around 9am – it was funny as NO agenda was set – we were given a “tagging” kit and the rest was up to us – from the video – you can see that the 40 or so managed to tag and get to know each other – i think i got across my waking and dreaming passion virtual worlds proposition.

Today is an appointment free day – my business partner is packing for New York to see what APLINK might be able to do to  share across the US how Innovative and Passionate Singapore is about social media, virtual worlds and business – hmmm one day in the very near future.

Singapore Slingers WIN but snubbed by Mediacorp NEWS

Singapore Slingers Logo

Last night APLINK and some friendly bloggers and ping.sg, pingsters were again treated to an evening with the Singapore Slingers… They won fantastically ! 119 to 102 over the Brisbane Bullets… a shock as reported by The
AGE in Australia (see Below) The early start time gave plenty of time to amble home from the stadium and catch the 930pm NEWS on Mediacorp’s channel 5, I sat there getting excited for the Slingers that their triumph would make the sporting news…BUT nothing was reported, not even a mention. On arrival at the game it is obvious the marketing is workin for the Slingers as the crowd numbers were up, sponsorship too looks like it is heading skyward seeing the sponsors logo’s and corporate boxes all full…so what does MediaCorp TV News need to have happen to realise that Basketball is making a place for itself in Singapore ?

Slingers grab shock win over Brisbane

Cellar-dwellers the Singapore Slingers have caused a major upset in the NBL, recording just their third victory of the season with a 119-102 triumph over defending champions Brisbane.

The Slingers came into the fixture riding a six-game losing streak that left them glued to the bottom of the ladder with a horrible 2-14 record.
